Theme: The Future of Asian Universities: Visions and Strategies for Cooperation

The 5th session of the AUPF was successfully held by Bangkok University of Thailand from November 16 to 18, 2006. The theme for this session of the forum was “The Future of Asian Universities: Visions and Strategies for Cooperation”. More than 70 university presidents and department executives attended the forum. A representative from the education institutions of the United Nations in Asia delivered a key-note speech on the “Future Development of the Asian Education Industry”. Delegates shared their opinions on the opportunities and challenges of the development of Asian Education in the process of globalization. The further improvement of the mechanism of the Forum was also discussed during the meeting.
