The 10th session of the AUPF was hosted by VIT University of India. This was the first time for the AUPF to be held in India. This session was attended by over 400 participants from over 50 universities, from countries including China, Japan, Korea, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Israel, Bangladesh, Sir Lanka, Mongolia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan and Uzbekistan. A delegate from West Virginia University attended the forum as an observer and spoke at the meeting. This session also received attention from universities in Peru and Mexico.

During the four-day meeting, participants engaged in some extensive discussions on five topics including “Global Partnership for Teaching & Research”, “Internationalization of Higher Education”, “Partnership in Higher Education”, “Global perspectives on Science and Technology Education” and “Research Collaborations”. The participants’ active involvement enabled the sharing of ideas and experience and demonstrated an active exploration of the development orientation of Asian higher education under the trend of globalization.
