The 19th Session of AUPF
Dear Sir/Madam,
Greetings from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.
GDUFS is much honored to host the 19th Session of the Asian University Presidents Forum (Nov. 30th - Dec. 1st). On behalf of the faculty and students of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, I’d like to invite you to join the 19th AUPF online. It’s a pity that due to the pandemic, we couldn’t get together offline this year, but we firmly believe that through our concerted efforts, the 19th AUPF will be a resounding success.
The theme of the 19th AUPF is Cooperation and Development of Asian Higher Education in the New Circumstances. Centering around the theme, attendees are welcomed to deliver a speech in the panel discussion on one of the given topics as follows:
1. Artificial intelligence: Transformation and development of higher education in Asia.
2. Covid-19 and beyond: Opportunities and challenges for higher education in Asia.
3. Universities of the future: A better world.
In addition, it would be appreciated if the presidents could offer some constructive opinions on any topic by recording a short video (within 5 min) and sending it to iecs@gdufs.edu.cn. The video clip would be displayed on the official website of the forum by turns(Please record the video in landscape mode and save it in MP4 format; video naming format: university name + president name).
What are the benefits of attending the forum?
1. Obtaining the forum membership and enjoying a global partner network.
When you finish the sign-up, you can gain the membership (for new members) and join the annual fascinating forum for presidents. As an annual regional gathering for university administrators, the Asian University Presidents Forum has had 18 sessions so far, with a cumulative total of 1,900 attendees in 28 countries or regions.
2. Contributing your insights and exchanging valuable opinions.
You could communicate freely with other presidents under the general theme of “Cooperation and Development of Asian Higher Education in the New Circumstances”, and your insights would be recorded in the proceedings.
3. Enjoying quality signing service and achieving efficient cooperation.
In early November, an online MOU signing service will be performed in the “MOU Signing” column at https://aupf.gdufs.edu.cn/AUPF2020.htm to establish partnership among member universities. You would have an exclusive system account, which enables you to check the information of other member universities, choose the university you want to sign with and receive cooperating information sent by other universities.
If you are interested to join us, please complete the following process.
1. Login to http://www.aupf.net/2020/ (or scan the attached QR code) and sign up by filling in the “meeting registration”. Please note that each university can only send no more than five people to attend the forum and the deadline for registration is November 8th .
2. If your university is willing to pay the AUPF Registration Fee: 600 USD/1 university, you can display the characteristics of your school and expanding cooperation channel. There would be a displaying area for each member university to show its educational characteristics and introduce its exchange programme. Please send the university official website, the university logo, the promotional video (in MP4 format) and related materials of the exchange programme (in PDF or MP4 format) to iecs@gdufs.edu.cn (file naming format: university name + president name). The promotional video of member universities would be displayed on the AUPF website by turns, and other materials would be shown in a column on a long-term basis, so as to achieve an effective promotion.
